Prayers would be good

The last few days I have not felt well. My cyst is in the process of leaking out and it makes me feel really sick and it is excruciatingly painful! (Is that a word?) I am taking some Percocet and have help with the kiddos because I am not a real coherent mom right now and if the pain isn't better by morning I may have to have surgery tomorrow. Pray for me and I will update when I can. : )

Last MOPS until the Fall

Today was our last MOPS of this school year. That sounds kind of funny, huh? But we all have preschoolers so we take the summer off and meet back in the Fall. Today our group had a big tea party and we were super girl-y and our table went all out with real place settings, chargers and everything! It was lots of fun and the food, as always, was devine! I have had such a great year in MOPS and am really going to miss my Tues. mornings and the adult conversation with all of the great other moms. I am sure the Fall will be here before we know it and this Fall I look forward to serving in a Leadership position so that should be adventuresome. For now, the house is quiet and I really, really need to package up my aunt's bracelets to mail off tomorrow. Toodles. e

Happy Memorial Day

I hope everyone is having a good day today! My prayers and thanks to all of our troops who have served our country and still serve in active duty on this day.

In a bit we are going over to my parents for a BBQ but it is starting to rain so we will probably be picnic-ing inside today. Mitch has been over at my parents all day and Megan was there this morning. When Mitch heard it was a day off and Grandma and Grandpa were home he got on the phone right away and asked to come over PLEASE! Frank and I spent the morning putting the new microwave in and cleaning up the kitchen.
Happy Day!

Zoo night

We went to the Member's Preview Night at the Zoo last night and had a wonderful time. It had been very rainy all day and we weren't sure we were even going to get to go but being true CO natives we waited our 5 minutes and sure enough the sun came out and we were able to get out and see the animals put on a real show. Megan loved seeing all the "aminals" and waved bye to each one we saw and Mitch couldn't wait to see if the train was working, and it was: ) It was a great night and we ended with ice cream. Megan got her very own but was a little confused and started with the cone part first! Silly Megan!

Out and About

After 4 days in the house(kind of) with a sick Mitch, Megan and went to Wal Mart today and did a little shopping. We had a great time and got lots of new fun things for the back yard. Of course we got 2 of everything...2 bats, 2 balls, 2 Frisbees...otherwise there is a lot of tantrums and it isn't pretty! It was nice to get out and not watch so much Curious George and Thomas. Although, that Curious George could have taught a thing or 2 to my elementary school teachers. I sure do learn a lot when I watch it and he is so darn cute! : )

Tonight is the last night of our mid-week church program so I am off to pack up stuff for that! Toodles!!

Better than it started

The week ended better than it started and last night I went to stamp camp at my sister's and got to stamp and hang out with some girl friends. My really great friend was there and we had a good time chatting and exchanging war stories from the week...just what I needed. Laughter, chocolate, stamping and friends: ) Mitch still isn't feeling well and we were hoping to go out tonight so I think we'll order a pizza tonight and have a family movie night instead.

Enjoy the sunny weekend!

Better late than never

I haven't posted in a few days. All the stress of the dogs, life, this that, stuff in general went to my head and I had a migraine for a week. I went to the (hot) doctor Tuesday and he gave me shot of morphine and phenergen that had knocked me out of commission for almost a good 2 days. The headache is gone but now I have to get back to reality!! LOL I wish the dogs would get with the program. Our hurricane dog is still freaking out with the rain and our rottie is recovering well but she is like having a 3rd child around the house!! AND THEN Mitch had his end of the year party in his lunch bunch program today and they fed them full of pizza, ice cream and juice and he came home threw up and fell asleep! Poor guy! It never ends!! All I can do is laugh now and at least he gets to the bathroom! e

Another day gone to the dogs

Today was suppose to be a nice relaxing day. My sister offered to give me the morning to myself as a Mother's Day treat while she took the kids and I got some time to myself. I jumped at the chance but when I got home from dropping them off I smelled something funny...never a good sign. I didn't think much of it and began to pick up around the house but when I got to Megan's room I found the culprit...a chewed up tube of A and D ointment and a very greasy schnauzer!! Great! I called the vet and they said the cream is really toxic to dogs please bring her in right away. Concerned about my dog but irritated that my morning was now going to be spent back at the vets I was a little miffed. The dog is fine, they made her throw up the cream and gave her charcoal. So I didn't get to clean my house like I wanted but I stopped at Kmart, did some shopping and had lunch with the kids and my sister. Oh well! I figure all 3 dogs have had issues now so maybe we are past this, please, I hope! : ) I had a nice Mother's Day and even got a new microwave. Whoppee! I'll have to share that story another day!

TGIF!!

It's Friday and it's Mother's Day weekend! Yay! I am hoping for some pampering but sloppy kisses and an "I wub you momma" would be fine too after this long week.

I'll share this too cute Mitch story today...I bought seeds today for our garden and was showing them to Mitch after lunch and he saw the pumpkins and had to open them up. I opened the package, he looked inside and said, "Mom, I can't carve these, they're way too small!"

Happy Mother's Day to all my mom friends and dog mom friends! I hope you have a great weekend!

Do I smell poop?

It's been a real stinky two days in our house. Two years ago we adopted a dog that had been rescued from Hurricane Katrina. He is the sweetest most lovable thing and and real southern gentleman BUT he hates the rain. So much so that is scares the poop right out of him! So yesterday was our first big spring rain storm and he flipped out and pooped in the house several times. It wasn't pretty. I am tired of the poopie stinky smell, the smell of wet carpet because I had to steam clean it, and I am getting tired of Megan saying "Gordie poop" every time she sees the dog. As much as I love the rain I am hoping these rainstorms don't last long because I am not sure how much more of this I can deal with.

I hope your house is less stinky than mine today.

Out playing

Spring is here and the weather has been so nice that the kids and I have been outdoors as much as we can enjoying the sunshine so I haven't been on the computer checking email or reading/posting on my blog. Last night I planted some geraniums and I hope to get a few more things planted over the weekend. My flower gardens are looking better and the kids and I are pooped and dirty each night when we come in: ) Gotta love it!

Have a good one!
