Mitch on microphones
Mitch sang with the children's choir today at church and did a stellar performance of "Jesus is Alive". On the Sunday's when the children's choir sings Mitch postions himself right in front of the microphone so he can give his own one man show. It's really something to watch and today was no different. Tonight at dinner we asked him why he does this and doesn't share the microphone with the other kids and he said it was because if he didn't he would have to go to each person in the church and sing for them "one whole time so this way it's easier and he doesn't have to run around the church." I thought it was a pretty good and a pretty funny answer but it still doesn't explain why he hogs the microphone. Frank says not to worry about it because in a few years he will be over it.

Circus pics
Mitch and Megan acting like clowns
Mitch riding the pony, "Chocolate"
Mitch with a blue tongue from his snowcone
Megan with 2 light Sabers!!
We went to the Shrine Circus Sunday night with my family and my good friend Jill and her family and had a fabulous time. The 4 kids ate every kind of Circus food you could think of, rode the ponies, but the highlight was getting our picture taken with the blue and pink poodles(I don't have a pic of that on my camera to share , sorry!) It was such a fun night...many fun memories!!

Bloggy Update
I haven't had much of a chance to sit down this week and blog. There is no real good reason other than life in general is just really busy. For the quick up date, here goes:
Easter was great! The kids dyes lots of eggs and I cooked a lamb that Frank said was out of this world. He has been telling people about it all week.
Tuesday I got my Body Fat checked, which was a humbling but helpful experience...short story, I am increasing my cardio and eating more veggies : ) It wasn't too bad but it never hurts.
Mitch had his kindergarten testing yesterday and did really well. We also got to meet his teacher and she seems very nice. I can't believe all that will start/happen in about 4 months! Wow!
Today we had a great family day and went and saw the Hannah Montana movie (LOVED it) and then came home and I played around in the kitchen with the lamb leftovers and cooked up a yummy lamb stew!! Who knew!!
I'll post some Easter pics next but then I REALLY need to finish the book for Monday's book club. It's my pick so if I get there and don't have it read the girls won't have me back!

Lunch time chatter
With a 5 and 2 1/2 year old anytime we are gathered around the table the conversation can get rather crazy, and today was no different. This morning I took the dogs to the vet, or as I like to call it, an expensive trip to the circus, and the kids were still chattering on and on about shots, sickness, blood, poop...oh, yes it was a great time! Mitch started talking about Mati and how much he missed her and how she got sick and Dr. Schaffer couldn't fix her and why dogs and people die and he wanted to know how old you have to be to die. I said there really isn't an age some people or dogs just get sick or really old and then they die. He said, "oh, like you! How soon will you die mom?" Ugh!! 5 year olds, they sure can take the wind out of your sails and kill a good lunch. I think I will go work out for an extra few today just to make myself feel better and younger!

Spring Break
Whoa...I haven't blogged in a long time! Mitch had Spring break last week and we were BUSY! The week before we had 2 snow days so he really had a week and a half off and we have just been hanging out out having fun. True to typical CO form, the weather didn't cooperate so we didn't get to do much out and about type stuff but we did take on a major project...we redecorated Mitch's room! That's right, no more baby room for Mitch. We spent most of the week painting, moving furniture and deciding between a space them or dinosaurs. Pictures coming up soon. It was lots of fun but sad for mom because my baby is really growing up. At the end of the week Frank took a day off and we went to the Museum of Nature and Science and saw some dinosaur bones, the Space Odessey exhibit and the new Natural Disasters exhibit. All very fun and very exciting. The redecorating we finished up today and it looks really cool!! Posting pics next...
