Both kids are taking swimming lessons this week, but Megan has taken to the water like a fish this year. Her favorite new accessory is her goggles.
To everything there is a season...and I am juggling a new season of part-time working mom and wife. Read along and see how I make it all work.

Seal pics from La Jolla
On our last day in San Diego we went back to La Jolla and spent more time watching the seals on Seal Beach. The kids asked to see them one more time before we left and I wanted to see them as well. These seals have taken over a beach that was originally meant for children and families and have made it their own. On the Sunday morning that we took these pictures I counted over 85 seals. It was incredible and I probably could have spent another hour or two watching them if we didn't have a plane to catch.

More Disney Pics
Our CA Vacation
Finally, I am getting some vacation pics posted. Between Frank and I and the new(to us) camera that we have we took around 1700 pictures. After weeding out the really great ones I think we have 900 or 1000, wow! We left 2 weeks ago for a dream vacation with my parents and my sister and brother in law. My parents graciously took us all on this vacation and we were able to experience Disneyland and San Diego. Disneyland was unbelievable and it was very fun to watch the kids and Frank take it all in together for the first time. Frank had never been either so this was also his first time on a Disney trip.We spent three days total in Disney and that seemed to be enough but it was hard to leave. From there we traveled down the coast to San Diego. In San Diego we got to spend time on the beach, go to Seaworld and see seals on a small beach in LaJolla. I have lots and lots of pictures of everything and tons and tons of memories. It was such a fun trip and the kids and I talk about it each day. Megan loved the princesses in Disneyland, but she also found a new love for Minnie Mouse. Mitch could have lived in Tomorrow Land, but was not impressed with the flying that we had to do to get to CA. Frank and I just enjoyed being away from reality for 6 whole days. This was our first big family vacation, the kids' first time on a plane, Megan's first time in a hotel, a lot of first and A LOT of fun. I am so glad I got to share it with our entire family.
Thanks, Mom and Dad!!

Father's Day!
Happy late Father's Day to my dad and to Frank, the wonderful father to my kids!
We spent a great day together and Frank got to eat all of the many foods he loves, it's what he asks for every year, food!

Twittering
So I signed up for a Twitter account, and honestly, I have know idea how to use it. I think I have had it a month and have just barely figured it out. I really am more of a Facebook person, but it is kind of fun to follow some of my favorite local authors and celebrities...such as: Danny Oertli, Margaret Feinberg, Janna Widdifield and Joanne Heim.
If you want to follow me I am at @erinwern. Good luck!!

Catching up with Megan
Megan graduated from Happy Valley Children's Ranch Preschool at the end of May. We are so proud of her and her class put on the cutest program. She is still singing some of the songs. At the end they asked each student what they wanted to be when they grew up and Megan said, "a princess" of course!
Last week Megan had her gymnastics "show". She completed routines at a USGA Level 2 on the Beam and Bars and also a group tumbling routine. It was so cute! She did really well for being one of the youngest in the class and moving up to the next level(this class) halfway through the semester.
Megan has really grown a lot recently, literally, and is cracking us all up with her funny sense of humor.
Love ya Megs!
